The Department of Agriculture and Agrotechnology of the University of Thessaly is based in our region and it is the only study program in Greece that focuses on the fields of cropping systems, agricultural machinery design and performance, land resources and irrigation, agricultural and greenhouse constructions, agricultural and food preservation and processing technologies, precision agriculture , automation and agricultural robotics.
