Bursa Uludağ University Institute of Science and Technology was established under the Rectorate of Bursa Uludağ University in accordance with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated 20 July 1982 and numbered 17760.
Established according to 2547 numbered Higher Education Council and the Regulation on Academic Organisation in Universities, the Institute of Science and Technology continues its education with 32 Master's Degree programmes with thesis, 8 Master's Degree programmes without thesis and 29 PhD programmes depending on 33 Departments, 10 of which are interdisciplinary.
The fact that information and technology is a part of our lives today has caused interdisciplinary studies to gain importance all over the world. Advances in areas such as software development methodologies, hardware technologies, internet technology, digital transformation accelerate the developments in the field of artificial intelligence technologies. Professional organisations such as IEEE (IEEE Computer Society) and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) are also working on the development of artificial intelligence technologies education programmes.
The aim of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Master's Programme is to train researchers who have the theoretical and technological requirements and equipment related to their field, who have followed and gained the ability to follow the developments in their field, and who focus on teaching by absorbing the pleasure of learning.
Therefore, the need for artificial intelligence engineers is increasing in the research and development departments of institutions concerned with human and environmental health, technology companies, defence industry and every field of industry. The aim of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Master's Programme is basically to meet the need for qualified academic staff in our country and abroad by providing the necessary knowledge to individuals who will conduct research in the technological sense, as well as to contribute to the training of engineers who can lead the studies to be carried out.
